Monkfish are prized for their very fine flesh. Its liver, cheeks and tail are particularly popular parts. On the fishmongers' stalls, the animal is rarely presented whole because the monkfish's head is not aesthetic and can be frightening. We only present its tail with skin removed. Its flesh, almost boneless, is often compared to that of lobster and remains firm when cooked.

Monkfish à la sétoise is an essential dish in the gastronomy of the city of Sète. It is prepared in all families of gourmets and it is offered in good restaurants in the Etang de Thau region.


  • Price:

    ⚠️ The price of the fish will depend on its weight, and the current season. The day before the monthly arrival we will be at the SETE auction to participate in the biggest fish auction in the Mediterranean.

    - Fixed price per kilo: 400, -kč

    Depending on the weight of the fish, you will be reimbursed or asked for the balance on what you have already paid. (+ or - 20%)

    ⚠️ if your fish could not be bought at the auction, we will refund the deposit paid, or offer you another fish.

  • ❄️ Freshness of the fish:

    Our concept is simple, bringing you ultra fresh products within 24 hours at home. How do we do it? It's simple ... We leave Prague on Wednesday during the day, and arrive on Thursday morning near BEZIERS (34) Small rest and Friday morning loading of pre-ordered fresh products (meats ...), 2:00 pm we will collect them. oysters fresh out of the basins in Marseillan, to finish with the auction of SETE where the auctions take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (when the fishing boats return) - We will therefore leave on Friday around 6 p.m. for a guaranteed delivery to PRAGUE on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. We thus offer THE FRESHEST WILD FISH IN PRAGUE (-24h) DELIVERED TO YOU!


  • Monkfish tail:

    The tail of the monkfish represents about 50% of the total weight of the fish.
